Admin dashboard

Kernel, the operations back office for Redgum Bakehouse, a wholesale bakery in Melbourne supplying cafes, restaurants and grocers with bread and pastry. Overview shows today's bakes, the runs due out and anything overdue. Accounts holds every wholesale customer with search, filters by region, standing order and account status, and bulk actions to tag, pause or export a selection. Opening an account shows its standing order, credit terms and a full activity history: every order, note, credit hold and status change, oldest to newest. Orders tracks each wholesale order through Received, Confirmed, In production, Packed, Dispatched and Delivered, reassigned between delivery runs and drivers. Team lists everyone with an account and a role: Owner, Manager or Staff, each with its own real permissions, checked with a Viewing as switch that shows exactly what that role can open, edit or approve. Every change anywhere, who made it and what it was before, is written to an audit log a role can filter but never edit. Settings holds the business profile, delivery runs, the role permission matrix and where to connect a real backend.

Event landing

Halyard, a three day ideas and culture festival on the Fremantle wharf: talks, workshops and live sets across four rooms over a Friday evening and a full weekend. Visitors browse the programme with filters by day, room and track, build a personal agenda that warns them the moment two chosen sessions overlap in time, and export it as a calendar file. Speaker pages carry a bio, their sessions and a room map. Tickets run a demo checkout labelled as a demo, three tiers with a live running total and a promo code. The venue screen carries a room by room map, getting there and accessibility notes. Organisers get their own side behind a Viewing as switch: a programme and speaker editor that adds, edits and retires sessions with clash detection of its own, a ticket sales dashboard with revenue by tier and a day by day chart, and a check in screen that looks a ticket up by code and marks it used once, never twice.

Job board

A niche job board for Australia's climate and energy workforce: solar, wind, batteries, the grid, EV charging and home electrification. Seekers search and filter roles by location, remote or on site, salary range, type and experience, sort results, and save searches with simulated alerts. A job page covers the role, the pay, what the week looks like and the company, then lets a seeker apply with a CV kept in memory for preview and a cover note, saved through a security definer function. Company pages carry real workplace photography and open roles. Saved jobs and applications track a status timeline from Applied through to Offer. Learning platform

Insignia, a course platform for independent teachers and small studios: photography, craft and practical business skills. Learners browse a catalogue with filters by topic, level and format, open a course page with a full syllabus and instructor bio, and enrol. Each lesson plays with a video poster, notes and a mark complete action; a module quiz scores itself immediately and can be retaken. Progress shows every enrolled course as a ring with a streak, and finishing a course issues a certificate: printable, carrying a short verification code anyone can check on a public lookup screen, generated through a security definer function that will not double issue one. Instructors get their own side: an overview of enrolments and completions, a course builder that reorders modules and lessons and edits quiz questions with a live preview, and a student roster with search, sort and a per student progress drill in.

Online store

A complete storefront and back office for a small independent Australian maker, Currawong, selling technical rain shells, packs and merino trail wear. Shoppers browse an editorial home page and a featured collection, filter a catalogue by category, price, colour, size and in stock, sort results, and quick add from the grid. Each product has a gallery with zoom and keyboard arrows, real stock per colour and size, a size and fit guide, a simulated delivery estimate by postcode, reviews marked Sample and related products. A cart drawer tracks quantity with undo on remove, a free shipping progress bar and discount codes with real rules: percentage or fixed, a minimum spend, one code per order and an expiry date. Checkout collects an address and a shipping method priced from the owner's own shipping zones, ends in a clearly labelled demo payment, and every order gets a confirmation and a status tracking page. The owner side has an order pipeline with fulfil and a demo refund, a products and inventory editor with per variant stock and low stock alerts, a discount code builder the storefront actually honours, a customers list and settings for shipping zones and rates that really change what checkout charges.

Publication

Longshore, an independent publication covering Australian coastal science, working water and regional life: kelp restoration, oyster leases, shorebird counts, saltmarsh grazing, small ferry towns and the people who write about them. Readers land on a Home built around one lead story and a river of recent pieces by topic, open an Article page with an estimated reading time and a reading progress rule across the masthead, browse Topics and Author pages, read related articles and threaded comments, search across every published piece, and can join a demo Newsletter signup that never overwrites a returning subscriber's own details. A visible Viewing as Editor control switches to the newsroom side: a Drafts list, a real Article editor with a live preview pane, a scheduling field that holds a piece until its publish time arrives, and a Comment moderation queue that approves, rejects or removes a comment, each backed by a rate limited, ownership checked function so no comment can be forged as someone else's or pushed through past a limit.

Recipe planner

Trestle, a recipe collection and weekly meal planner for home cooks, built Australian and metric throughout. Cooks browse a recipe library with search and filters for diet, total time and what is already in the pantry, open a recipe that scales its ingredient quantities and converts units correctly for any serving count, and step through a cook mode with one timer per method step that can keep the screen awake while it runs. A weekly plan drags recipes onto days, and the shopping list is built straight from that plan: every ingredient across the week's recipes is combined by unit into one correctly totalled line and grouped by supermarket aisle, checked off while shopping. A pantry screen tracks what is already on hand and feeds back into the recipe filters. The household owner side, reached through a visible Viewing as switch, adds and edits recipes with ingredients as structured rows (quantity, unit, aisle), organises them into collections, and manages a household of members who share the same weekly plan and shopping list, each unable to touch another household's plan.

A private dining enquiry goes through a validated form, and gift vouchers have a demo checkout. The host side has a table plan for tonight drawn as a live floor plan, a searchable bookings list with status and notes, a menu editor that can 86 a dish on the spot, and settings for service times, table capacity and the cancellation policy that actually changes what the booking engine allows.

SaaS website

Rosterline: a marketing site for a fictional B2B software product, workforce compliance and rostering for Australian aged care and home care providers. A Home page whose hero is a real roster board built in HTML and CSS, not a photo, that plays a scroll triggered compliance moment; features shown as working UI states; a security and compliance section; an FAQ. Pricing with a monthly and yearly toggle that shows the real saving, a seat based calculator with live totals, a full plan comparison table with a sticky header, and a validated talk to sales form. Customers with four sample case studies, metrics and photography. A dated, filterable Changelog. A demo only, multi step Sign up with password strength, workspace name and teammate invites. No owner side: instead a simple Admin: leads view, switched by a Viewing as Visitor or Marketing control, that lists every demo form submission and exports them to CSV.

AI assistant

Harper: a branded AI front desk for Hartley Street Physiotherapy, a small Australian clinic. Patients ask about first appointments, Medicare and private health rebates, the conditions the clinic treats, the cancellation policy, parking and general home care, and Harper answers only from the clinic's own documents, streamed word by word in demo mode, every claim carrying a citation chip that opens the exact passage it came from. Patients can copy or retry any answer, rate it up or down with a reason, search, rename and delete their conversation history with undo, browse the source documents themselves in a searchable help library, and hand over to a person through a callback form when Harper has nothing to go on. Staff sign in as Admin to add a knowledge source by pasting text and watch it split into passages live, toggle a source off and see answers stop citing it, review flagged and low rated answers, export conversations to a CSV they can preview before saving, and change the assistant's name, its tone and the hours a callback can be answered, each of which visibly changes what Harper says next.

Search every transcript, play any moment back from its line, track actions across all meetings with CSV and calendar export, ask questions answered only from your own meetings with cited timestamps, and set a retention period that really deletes old recordings. Admins manage members, vocabulary and retention; members work their own items.

Number merge

A sliding tile puzzle in glazed ceramic. Every value is a named glaze with its own finish and weight; merges squash and ripple, streaks fire the kiln, and reaching the target plays a lustre firing. Games survive a reload, and a schema for a verified global leaderboard is included.

Portfolio

The complete portfolio and studio back office for Quarter & Grain, the solo Tasmanian furniture practice of maker Asa Lindqvist. An image led Home carries the work itself in an asymmetric grid that reveals each piece's title and year on hover. A Work index filters by discipline (Seating, Tables, Case Pieces, Architectural Joinery) and by year, and switches between a grid and a list. Every project opens as its own Case study, and no two share a layout: a full bleed hero, a sticky photograph beside a scrolling text column, a process or material strip built from typeset detail rather than a second photograph where a project has only one, credits naming the client, materials, dimensions and timeline, and a link to the next project. About carries the maker's portrait, a practice note, clients (marked Sample) and press (marked Sample). Contact is a working enquiry form: project type, budget range and timeline, all validated, ending in a demo submission confirmation. A visible Viewing as Owner control switches to the studio's own back office: a Projects editor that reorders work by drag and drop with a keyboard alternative, publishes or hides a project, and sets its cover from its own photographs, plus an Enquiries inbox with status, notes, reply templates and a CSV preview built from a Blob, never a real download.

Quiz app

A trivia game and quiz maker with real game feel. Players pick a category, race a timed round with streak multipliers, and take a daily challenge that is the same puzzle for everyone that day; a result screen builds a generated share card and a personal stats screen tracks accuracy and best streaks over time. Switch to Viewing as host to build a quiz, manage a question bank tagged by difficulty that adapts to how the player is answering, and open a host screen with a room code for a live group round. Tactile answer cards, a draining ring timer, optional sound and keyboard 1 to 4 throughout.
